About Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY):
- Launched on September 23, 2018
- It is a cashless and paperless scheme with the aim to provide health cover to more than 10.74 crore poor and vulnerable families of up to Rs. 5 lakh per family per year.
- It is the world’s largest government-funded health assurance scheme.
About Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM):
- Launched on February 26, 2022.
- Central Sector Scheme
- The National Health Authority is the implementing agency of the scheme.
- ADBM enables citizens to create their Ayushman Bharat Health Account numbers to which their digital health records can be linked.
2. National Environment Ministers’ Conference:
- Held in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat.
- Inaugurated by PM Modi.
- The conference has 6 thematic sessions focussing on LiFE, Combating Climate Change, PARIVESH, Forestry Management, Prevention and Control of Pollution, Wildlife Management, Plastics and Waste Management.
About PARIVESH:
- “Proactive and Responsive facilitation by Interactive and Virtuous Environment Single Window Hub”
- Launched in 2018
- To reduce the time taken for granting Environment Clearance and Forest Clearance by combining several policy reforms.
- It is a single window system for integrated green clearances.
- It will strengthen the Minimum Government Maximum Governance.

- Lifestyles for Environment
- The aim of the mission is to mobilize 2/3rd of India’s population to become pro-planet and to partner with at least 80 countries to make it Global Jan Andolan.

4. World Rabies Day:
- Observed on 28th September
- It is observed to mark the death anniversary of French biologist and chemist, Louis Pasteur, who developed the first rabies vaccine.
- Theme 2022 – “Rabies: One Health, Zero Death”
5. JALDOOT App:
- Launched by the Ministry of Rural Development
- The groundwater level in several sections of the country has decreased despite efforts to promote watershed development, afforestation, waterbody development and maintenance, and measures like rainwater collecting.
- This JALDOOT App will make it easier to monitor water tables across the nation, and the information gathered can be used for the Mahatma Gandhi NREGA Plans and Gram Panchayat Development Plans.
6. New Chief of Defence Staff – Anil Chauhan:
- The government of India has announced the appointment of Lt General Anil Chauhan (Retired) as the next Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), who will also function as Secretary to the Government of India, Department of Military Affairs.
7. First Lunar Rover of UAE – Rashid:
- The United Arab Emirates launched its first lunar rover named ‘Rashid’ from Kennedy Space Centre in Florida.
- It will study the lunar surface, mobility on the surface of the moon and how different surfaces interact with the particles on the moon.
8. Women only day in UP Assembly:
- Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly is all set to have a day reserved for women legislators to speak and raise women-centric issues in the house.
9. First Avalanche Monitoring Radar – Sikkim:
- The Indian Army and Defence Geoinformatics and Research Establishment jointly installed it.
- It has the capability to detect avalanches within three seconds of their trigger.
