1. Drug Parks:
- The department of Pharmaceuticals has granted approval for three bulk Drug Parks in “Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh”.
- To support Bulk Drug manufacturing in India.
- It aims to bring down the cost of manufacturing of bulk drugs by creating world-class common infrastructure facilities in one place.
2. SEBI reconstructs panel on Cyber Security:
- The committee has now expanded to six members.
- Chaired by Navin Kumar Singh
- The committee will suggest measures to safeguard the capital markets from cyber attacks.
- It identifies appropriate measures to improve cyber resilience and disaster recovery process in the Indian securities market.
3. AIFF – New President:
- All India Football Federation
- Kalyan Chaubey has been appointed.
- AIFF H.Q – New Delhi
4. VentuRISE:
- Global Startup Challenge
- Launched by the Government of Karnataka.
- To support the growth stage of startups in the manufacturing and sustainability sectors.
- The Global Challenge is to provide a platform to showcase the innovative products or solutions of budding entrepreneurs to connect with potential investors.
5. Mahila Nidhi:
- It is a credit scheme for women.
- To ensure the availability of credit to women for starting new businesses.
- The scheme will disburse loans of up to Rs 40,000 within 48 hours, and above Rs 40,000 within 15 days.
- After Telangana, Rajasthan has become the second state in the country to establish the Mahila Nidhi scheme.
6. Arth Ganga:
- Launched by the Ministry of Jal Shakthi
- Under the Namami Gange Program
- It aims to boost economic activities along the banks of the river Ganga.
- It includes Chemical free farming for 10km on both banks of the river and promotes cow dung as manure through Govardhan Yojana.
- This will open the way for ‘Per Drop, More Income’ and ‘GobarDhan’ for the farmers.
- It is implemented by the National Mission for Clean Ganga.
7. Kushiyara River:
- India and Bangladesh signed an MoU to share the waters of the Kushiyara River.
- It forms the Indo-Bangladesh border as a branch of the Barak River.
- After flowing some distance in Bangladesh, it meets again with the Surma River.
