6. IndiGo becomes the first airline to use indigenous navigation system GAGAN:
- India becomes the third country in the world to have its own space-based augmentation system after the USA and Japan.
About GAGAN:
- GPS Aided Geo Augmented Navigation
- Jointly developed by ISRO and AAI
- System of satellites and ground stations that provide GPS signal corrections, giving you better position accuracy.
