1. Iron Beam:
- New Laser Missile Defence system
- It is the world’s first energy-based weapons system that uses a laser to shoot down incoming aerial objects such as missiles, rockets, mortars, anti-tank missiles, UAVs and drones.

2. India bags 10 Medals at the 2022 Thailand Open International Boxing tournament:

3. India gets elected to four UN ECOSOC bodies:
- United Nations Economic and Social Council, is one of the 6 principal organs of the United Nations System.
- Ambassador Preeti Saran gets re-elected to the Committee for Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
4. Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya:
- PM Modi inaugurated Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya (Prime Ministers’ Museum) in New Delhi on April 14, 2022.
- To honour the efforts of all 14 Indian Prime Ministers since Independence, regardless of ideology or duration in office.
- Paytm has become an official digital payments partner for the prime ministers’ museum.
5. e-NAM 6 years complete:
- National Agriculture Market (e-NAM)
- A pan India electronic trade network.
- Launched on April 14, 2016
- It connects the existing APMC (Agricultural Produce & Livestock Market Committee) mandis to form a unified national agricultural commodities market.
- Completely funded by the central government.
- Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC) is the key agency for implementing eNAM.
6. Save the Elephant Day:
- Observed on April 16
- To raise awareness about the dangers elephants face and the various difficulties they have to overcome to live.
7. World Voice Day:
- Observed on April 16
- Theme 2022: Lift your Voice
8. I Sea PONDY – 2022:
- First-ever Beach Festival
- Inaugurated at Puducherry.
- Puducherry was a French colonial settlement in India until 1954.
- It became a Union Territory in 1962 under the 14th Amendment of the Indian Constitution.
9. National Fire Service Day is observed on April 14 every year.
10. Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration:
- The Civil Aviation Ministry’s “UDAN” scheme has been selected.
- The UDAN scheme was launched on 21st October 2016.
