6. Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2022:

29 children have been conferred.
From Tamilnadu 2 children won this award.

7. Vikas Engine:

ISRO Successfully tests the Vikas engine in Mahendragiri, Tamilnadu.
Vikas engine – it would power India’s first human carry rocket (Gaganyaan Human space mission).

8. Para-badminton academy:

India’s first para-badminton academy has been set up in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
It will improve India’s medal prospects at the 2024 Paralympics to be held in Paris, France.

9. International Day of Education:

Observed on 24th January.
Since 2019
This is the 4th year to celebrate.
The theme for 2022: Changing Course, Transforming Education.

10. District Good Governance Index:

It is India’s first District good governance index.
Launched in Jammu and Kashmir.

11. The Union Agriculture Ministry announces a 40 to 100 per cent subsidy to popularise drones in agriculture.

12. Neptune Strike 22:

It is a maritime exercise performed by NATO members in the Mediterranean Sea.

13. 4th Police Commission:

Tamilnadu Government has constituted the fourth police commission which is headed by C.T. Selvam.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister has announced that a new Jallikattu arena with world-class facilities would be built at Alanganallur, Madurai.

15. Netaji Award 2022:

Former PM Shinzo Abe honoured this award.
The award is given by Netaji Research Bureau.
