1. Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana(PMMY) completes 7 years:
- MUDRA – Micro Units Development & Refinance Agency.
- Introduced by Arun Jaitley on 28th February 2015 during Union Budget 2015-16.
- Launched on April 8, 2015
- For providing loans up to Rs.10 lakh to the non-corporate, non-farm small/micro-enterprises, along with the creation of income-generating activities.
- Central government scheme to ‘fund the unfunded.’
- Loans are given by Commercial Banks, Regional Rural Banks, Small Finance Banks, Micro Finance Institutions and NBFCs.
- 3 Categories of Loans are Provided. They are,
- Shishu – Loans up to Rs.50,000
- Kishore – Loans from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 5,00,000
- Tarun – Loans from Rs. 5,00,000 to Rs. 10,00,000

2. India Contributes $72,124 to UNESCO fund for the elimination of doping in sports in 2022:
- India is a signatory to UNESCO Anti-Doping Convention.
- Ratified in 2007.

4. India’s first case of the XE variant of coronavirus disease was reported from Mumbai:
- According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the new subvariant ‘XE’, which is a hybrid strain of two Omicron sub-variants, could be the most transmissible coronavirus strain ever discovered.

6. World Press Photo of the Year 2022:
- A photograph by Canadian photographer Amber Bracken titled “Kamloops Residential School” has won the 2022 World Press Photo of the Year award.

7. 20th Meeting of NTCA:
- National Tiger Conservation Authority
- Held in Pakke tiger reserve in Arunachal Pradesh.
- For the first time in history, the NTCA meeting happened outside the national capital.
- Project Tiger – 1973 in cooperation with WWF.
- NTCA was established in December 2005.
